When you wanted to know how far a place is away from you AnyFinder showed you its distance to your current location. With AnyFinder 1.2 you can now chose if you want to see either this distance, or the distance to your last search center. This is especially useful if you are let's say in New York and want to know which bars are close to your hotel in San Francisco.
Also when you see the list of places found around a specific location, this automatically sorts by distance with the closest place on top of the list. You can now switch the distance modes by tapping the button in the upper right corner in the "Places" tab.
When you select a place from the list, the main map now automatically centers around the selected place, which makes it easier for you to find it in the "Map" tab. We also show the "bubble" with iconized information on the map if there are not too many other places close by. In this case you just zoom in.
More tags, more information
With our new TagEngine that was introduced with AnyFinder 1.1 it is now very easy for us to add support for new OpenStreetMap tags. So in AnyFinder 1.2 we put this to a test and added support for places that are tagged with information about takeaway food, ATMs (Cash Points), toilets, the accessibility of toilets with a wheelchair and the floor (building level) of the place. For example many defibrillators are in subway stations and therefore are marked with a floor/level of -1 or -2. If you see this, you know to look for the place underground instead on street level.
Thanks for using AnyFinder, your support and good ideas. Keep them coming so we can make AnyFinder an even greater app for you!
